“The fountain of content must spring up in the mind, and he who hath so little knowledge of human natures as to seek happiness by changing anything but his own disposition, will waste his life in fruitless efforts and multiply the grief he proposes to remove.” ~ Samuel Johnson.
We cannot control what others say or do.
We can control ourselves and our reactions.
It is not easy.
We cannot control the weather. We cannot control the rains.
We cannot control markets.
We can control our business and we can make choices that enable us to survive these times.
We cannot control land value, government policy, the world economy or other people.
We can control our decisions, our attitude and our actions, or in-actions.
Focus must be directed on where we have control.
By shifting focus to areas we have control over we can decrease stress and anxiety.
Changes in our lives can assist our levels of content and happiness.
