Listening

“People have been so much concerned with what they are going to say next that they do not keep their ears open. Very important people have told me that they prefer good listeners to good talkers, but the ability to listen seems rarer than almost any other good trait.” ~ Isaac F Marcossan.

Listening is vital in relationship building.

We so often focus on what we are going to say next and proving a point, ensuring we are heard, that we do not hear what is being said.

Listening is a skill that can be learned.

It is vital in work and personal relationships.

Sometimes we don’t need an answer, we just want to be heard.

Truly heard. Understood.

Are you multitasking while you are listening?

Listening and building your rebuttal? Or are you focussed on what is being said?
