Expectations

“Give a dog a bad name and you may as well hang him.” ~ Dale Carnegie.

When we are leading others; in business or in family relationships, if we speak highly of them and let them know we think good things of them, often they will try extremely hard to live up to this reputation we have given them.

If people know we think they are capable and skilled they will go that bit further.

It’s a fantastic feeling knowing others have high expectations of you, that they believe in you and your abilities.

From the other perspective, how far would you go for someone who speaks badly of you and doesn’t believe in you?

Talk people up. Encourage. Lift.
