Apologise when you know you are wrong

As far as I am aware, no one has ever choked to death on an apology.

If you are wrong, say so.

Do it without the “ifs”, “buts” and “didn’t mean to”.

If you are wrong admit it quickly and apologise sincerely.

Not this “if I made you feel”; that’s rubbish.

Show some integrity.

Show some genuine concern, kindness and a willingness to learn and move forward.

Don’t pretend it didn’t happen.

I don’t think anyone reflects on their lives and wishes they had been less kind.
